Join us and Hama Hama Company for a hands-on oyster class designed to demystify the mighty bivalve. First we'll teach you to shuck, and then you'll work your way through a comparative sampling of northwest oysters, experiencing first hand how growing method and location influence an oyster's flavor, shape, and seasonality. Along the way, you'll learn about oyster farming, oyster history in the northwest (and beyond), and ways you can harvest your own shellfish. We'll finish by enjoying a few cooked oyster dishes prepared in class, such as roasted oysters 3-ways and oyster rolls.
